High School Volunteer Abroad

CCS Summer High School Volunteer Abroad programs are designed for curious, passionate, and adventurous high school students who want to serve others and connect to another culture while traveling abroad.

CCS offers the most immersive and safest summer volunteer programs available to high school students. As a teen volunteer abroad, you will engage in meaningful volunteer work, learn about complex social issues, connect with people from different cultures, and journey to places you’ve only read about in a textbook or seen on Instagram. Get ready to volunteer with new friends alongside local people and explore one of these amazing destinations: Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Peru, & Morocco.

What makes a Cross-Cultural Solutions experience different is the opportunity for you to make a difference. Engage in meaningful volunteer work to make a real, positive impact in the lives of others. Students earn 25 community service
hours per week.

You have the chance to experience another culture in thrilling ways. Zipline through a rainforest, hike the Himalayas, join a Ghanaian dance circle, or speed down a sand dune in a sand buggy. In all that you do, be bold—be daring!

Our future world leaders must have 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, as well as deep character traits, like personal responsibility and open-mindedness. This experience will help you become a stronger leader in all areas of your life.

Where We Work

Why CCS?

Our High School Volunteer Abroad programs are purpose-driven: teens who travel abroad with Cross-Cultural Solutions aren’t merely joining a tour group and observing another place; they engage in genuine cultural immersion, meaningful volunteer work, and other transformative experiences with the amazing people they meet. Here are four core components of every Cross-Cultural Solutions program.

We understand parents may have a few hesitations about sending their teens abroad, especially if it is their first time traveling abroad. While this might seem a little frightening, it is also incredibly exciting! We’re here to give you the information you need to feel confident about this important decision for your child’s future.
