Why Not Have Your Family Join the CCS Family?

So, what are you going to do with the kids on their next break from school? The way we see it, you've got a few options:

A. Send them off to grandma's house to master their bridge game and maybe pick up a family recipe or two.

B. Visit every museum, movie theater, and indoor arcade within driving distance, twice.

C. Get out the daily planner and a phone book and start scheduling as many play dates as you can.

D. Ask the school, very nicely, to stay open during break so that you don't have to think about it at all - good luck with that one.

E. Enroll the whole family with CCS, an international volunteering experience of a lifetime.

It's no secret that we're partial to option E; and why wouldn't we be? What you get when you enroll your family to volunteer with CCS can't be found in any guidebook. The seamless transition between organic moments and structured experiences results in a completely authentic and eye-opening journey that is unique for every one of our intrepid volunteers. Volunteering with CCS allows your family to feel fully and genuinely immersed in the local community in ways you never dreamed possible. But that's just the thing; it's all possible with CCS!

Time spent volunteering and learning with CCS will mean something completely different for each member of your family, but the beautiful thing is that you'll all experience it together. Shannon Clark took her family to Costa Rica, and here's what she told us about the experience:

"Each of us got something different from the program, and it was a really positive experience for all of us. My children had their eyes opened to all sorts of new possibilities; opportunities for their own futures, an appreciation for what they already have, the rewards of working with people, and the fun of learning about another culture. My stepdaughter gained self-confidence by overcoming obstacles, and I had the privilege of seeing my family blossom as well as having my hope and faith in people refreshed."

Hi Gayle, it is wonderful that you would like to experience Guatemala with Ben! You will have free-time during the program which may be a great time to visit others in the local area. Many volunteers also fundraise. Please feel free to contact a Program Specialist at 1-800-380-4777, we would love to discuss all opportunities in detail.
