Student Program Information For

EDUCATORS

Educators around the world agree that many educational systems and classroom curricula are outdated; we often confine students’ experiences to the classroom and limit their knowledge to testing material. With Cross-Cultural Solutions, students can connect with global issues through hands-on experience in community transformation, international development, and social change.
We have a variety of opportunities for students to volunteer abroad, either independently or with a school group. Educators can not only encourage their students to go abroad and make a difference; they can go too! Check out all of the programs for students from middle school to college!

High School Volunteer Abroad

Teens who travel abroad with Cross-Cultural Solutions aren’t merely joining a tour group and observing another place; they engage in genuine cultural immersion, meaningful volunteer work, and other transformative experiences with the amazing people they meet. Volunteers work side-by-side with local people and new friends on teens-only projects in Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, or Peru.

Gap Year Programs

This program is ideal for students who want an intensive experience after high school to explore want they want “to do” and who they want “to be.” Across the US, more students than ever are looking for a Gap Year experience before, during, or after college—not to mention that top universities like Harvard, Princeton, and New York University strongly encourage students to defer enrollment in pursuit of a meaningful gap experience.

International Internships

While students are in college, they’ll want an internship experience that is immersive, challenging, and relevant—something that will set them apart from their peers in an increasingly global workplace. The CCS International Internship program is designed for students seeking real-world international experience in their chosen field of interest that’s grounded in community service.
