CCS international internships are designed for students ages 18 and older seeking a real-world, globally-minded intern abroad experience in their chosen field. As a CCS intern abroad, you’ll become part of a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who provide unique opportunities to learn, explore, understand, and change critical social issues impacting communities around the world. As you engage in your global internship, you’ll hone your cross-cultural communication skills and expand your knowledge through meaningful service. Learn and serve in Costa Rica, Ghana, or with refugees in Greece, where your work will be complemented by engaging Cultural & Learning Activities and incredible opportunities for independent exploration.
For your CCS experience, service comes first. Interns choose our program because they want to make a difference, and they trust CCS expertise and experience to create the enabling circumstances. In fact, the Wall Street Journal has compared our program to the Peace Corps, and indeed there a many similarities.
Not only will you learn and develop skills during your internship; you will experience another culture in authentic, exciting ways. We will connect you with the community in ways that aren’t available to the average tourist. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you’ll have an adventure—whether you bargain with locals in vibrant street markets, take a ride on a camel through the Sahara, or hike through the Himalayas.
Through CCS, you’ll encounter your chosen field of expertise in a very different context. With local experts, you’ll engage in both practice and problem-solving. All the while, you’ll be creating the differentiating track record that portrays you as the type of socially responsible, learning-focused professional sought by leading employers.
