Supporting female residents in Ritsona by providing a safe and calm environment where women can come spend time with friends while participating in group activities provided by the volunteers, such as arts and crafts, knitting, afternoon tea, and physical exercise courses. Volunteers will also assist with cleaning the space and setting up/breaking down activities.

  • Provide companionship and participate in cultural exchange with females at the camp
  • Improve morale and encourage community-building with games and activities for women in the community

About the Female Friendly Space

Female Friendly Space
The female-friendly space in the camp was developed in response to the unique challenges that female refugees face when their homes have been destroyed and their communities displaced. Companionship, cultural exchange, and moral support are valuable contributions all female volunteers can provide to women residents. Volunteers with specific skills in social work, health, arts & crafts, yoga, aerobics/zumba, hairdressing, early childhood development, and more are great additions to the team.
