The Shop is one of the services CCS provides the residents to humanize their stay while in the camp, by providing access to clothes, shoes, and jackets. All available items at the shop are local Greek or sometimes international donations, as a support to the community of camp.

Goals

  • Provide companionship and participate in cultural exchange with residents
  • Restore dignity and normalcy of camp residents

About the Clothing Shop

Female Friendly Space
The clothing shop is a service that allows residents to “shop” for clothes and shoes based on an allocated points system. Each cycle, residents are given an appointment to shop for both themselves and their families. The shop operates 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), from 11:00 AM to 3:00PM. Volunteers assist with the preparation (restocking, folding, organizing), appointments (finding items, checking out) and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the shop.
