CCS Refugee Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator for the CCS Refugee Program is responsible for on-the-ground support of all CCS volunteers. Duties in this position include: supporting volunteers with their volunteer work; extending support and guidance to volunteers to deal with intercultural issues, logistical support to/from and inside the camps, supporting issues at the Home-Base; and upholding & implementing policies and practices that follow the CCS Program Design for the CCS Refugee Program, with particular focus on safety & security.

Reporting Relationship
- Reports to Country President and to Farhana Rehman-Furs, President of Cross-Cultural Solutions
- Works alongside the appointed CCS Program Officer and CCS Program Manager

Required Qualifications
- Fluency or good working knowledge of English
- Experience working with international volunteers
- Understanding/experience of cross-cultural issues and culture shock
- Ability to work with international colleagues/American/British volunteers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of working in refugee camps
- Experience living in the region where the camp is located
- Experience in international volunteer work
- Experience working with aid agencies or NGOs or refugee community members in the camps
- Experience managing cross-cultural adjustment and inter-cultural management
- Conversational Arabic, Kurdish or Farsi

Responsibilities

Volunteer Assignment
- To supervise and manage the entry/exit of volunteers to the camp each day (Monday-Friday)
- To support volunteer’s and CCS partners to effectively provide service
- To accompany volunteers to their work assignment each day to provide supervision and guidance
- To support the health and safety of volunteers while at the camp
- To support the operations of the Distribution Center at Ritsona camp

Ongoing Volunteer Support and Monitoring
- To assist with orientation and training of volunteers to be effective and respectful volunteers
- To advise volunteers on safety risks they might encounter in and outside the camp, as well as ensuring they understand and adhere to the CCS Policies
- Be available 24/7 during program operation to support emergencies

Implementation
- To uphold professionalism, excellence and support for the volunteers at all times
- To follow driving guidelines and standards at all times
- To follow country-specific operating policies and guidelines established by CCS
- To follow the advice and instructions of the CCS partners and ensure volunteers are clear on these
- To support the CCS team with issues, medical emergencies and any work required to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the volunteers and community
- Be accountable for accurate financial reporting and use of funds
- Uphold Cross-Cultural Solutions core values in all dealings
