There's a First Time for Everything

First times can be scary. Trying something new, taking a chance, or tiptoeing outside of your comfort zone is no small feat. But as long as your heart is in the right place, first times tend to have a big payoff. After all, Einstein had a first day of school, Serena Williams had a first tennis lesson, and Beyoncé had a first recital, right?

Whether you're considering your first ever trip overseas, or looking to embark on your first solo adventure, CCS will provide the support that you need to turn that nervous energy into sheer excitement as you get ready for your big adventure!

But you don't have to take our word for it. Amanda Neumann was a student at Mount Holyoke when she volunteered in Peru with CCS. Here's what she had to say about her first time:

I have no doubt that being a volunteer for CCS was one of the best things I have done in my life thus far. I have never traveled outside of the U.S. before, and was a little nervous about the adventure, but things went very smoothly. I can't imagine visiting a foreign country without getting down to the grassroots of a culture -- that is, hands on work with the people, which CCS provides. Nothing could be more fulfilling!!!

When you volunteer abroad with CCS, we've got it all covered. From pre-departure to well after you return home, we'll provide you with all of the tools and information that you'll need to be a rockstar international volunteer and an awesome global citizen.
