Instagrammed: My time volunteering in Morocco (Part 2)
Another round of my Instragrammed memories from Rabat, Morocco. Go on and take a look through and I bet you'll get that warm, fuzzy, just volunteered kind of feeling. For a quick refresher, take a look back at Instagrammed: My time volunteering in Morocco (Part 1).
Day Six: Busy Day! First, the Cross-Cultural Solutions Rabat staff taught us how to make Moroccan mint tea, and then we went to explore a pottery village. My friends and I even got to take a spin at the wheel!
Then, the Morocco staff surprised us with a nice big turkey for American Thanksgiving! My fellow volunteers and I made the rest of the feast, including mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs, vegetable salad, and pumpkin pie (my contribution!), all with a Moroccan twist. The Morocco staff loved trying our dishes, and we loved cooking with them and making our recipes from home a bit more Moroccan! So much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Day Seven: Last Day with CCS in Rabat! I was sad to leave the best pomegranates I’ve ever had in my life (seriously, the CCS Home-Base in Rabat has the BEST), but even more sad to leave such an incredible volunteering experience, the staff, and lots of new friends.
