Guatemala City, Guatemala
Start Date: June 15, 2013
Program Length: 2 weeks

After two incredible weeks of volunteering in Guatemala City head to Antigua for a weekend of hiking and exploring. You'll have a chance to climb Pacaya, an active volcano situated just outside the colonial town. And once you reach the top, join the fun and roast some marshmallows over the volcanic lava! After a satisfying hike, stalwart volunteers can relax and enjoy learning about the history of Antigua and the surrounding Mayan communities while chowing down on locally made tortillas.
Itinerary includes 1 week for travel before your next stop, so stick around to explore or opt for a third week with CCS in Guatemala.

Lima, Peru
Start Date: July 7, 2013
Program Length: 2 weeks

Once you've wrapped up two weeks of volunteering alongside local people in and around Lima, skip over to Cusco to cross Machu Picchu off your bucket list. Hike part of the Inca Trail to this incredible World Heritage Site and connect with other world-traveling backpackers. Once you've finished exploring Machu Picchu, sit back and relax in Cusco and enjoy traditional Peruvian cuisine.
Itinerary includes 2 weeks before your next stop to ensure that you've got enough time to discover the wonders of Machu Picchu before hopping a flight to Tanzania.

Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Start Date: August 3, 2013
Program Length: 2 weeks

While volunteering side-by-side with members of the local community in Moshi, Africa's tallest peak—Mt. Kilimanjaro—will serve as the backdrop for each and every memory made and personal connection forged. Once your volunteer program has come to an end, you'll have a chance to summit that same mountain that you've been eyeing for 14 days. Right outside of Moshi, you can join a guided trek up Kili for anywhere from 4-9 days. Once you've conquered the mountain and descended, spend some time in Moshi exploring the fabric and art markets or indulging in banana sandwiches and chai tea at one of the local shops.

So if you're looking to let the outdoors-loving volunteer in you sing from the mountaintops, enroll today. And here's an extra insider tip just for you: nearly every one of our volunteer program destinations is within driving distance of an incredible hiking spot, so if the above destinations don't "peak" your interests—yes, I'm hilarious—just contact us so that we can help you put together your dream summer itinerary.
