Volunteer Summer
If you're a student yourself, we recommend that you first consider our Volunteer Abroad program. This program offers the greatest flexibility. Volunteers can choose from 12 countries and 20 program sites, over 200 start dates throughout the year, and you’ll receive a personalized volunteer work placement. Thousands of students enroll in this program each year, and it remains, year after year, our most popular program with students. However, we always recommend that you research the available options to select what is best for you.
International Work Experience
If you want to gain more in-depth international work experience or earn college credit for your volunteer experience, choose our Intern Abroad program. Many volunteers receive college credit, either as an internship, field research, or an independent study abroad. You'll work with your academic advisor to create your own curriculum and unique plan for learning. This experiential education includes volunteering in a different culture, learning a new language and participating in planned cultural activities. Your adviser will ensure that your program has depth, breadth, and coherence, and that it is consistent with your career and educational goals. Read more about how you can Obtain Academic Credit.
Alternative Spring Break
Perhaps you only have one week and you're looking for a meaningful alternative break? You can spend your spring or winter break in a volunteer vacation by enrolling in our Insight Abroad program.
