Volunteer Work Placements in Bangkok
Volunteer work is always in partnership with one of CCS' Partner Programs from the local community. Your placement is based on your skills, interests, and the needs of the community. Common placements in Bangkok include:
- Hospital: Volunteers assist in various capacities, depending on their skills, interests, and the needs of the departments. Volunteers also help teach English to doctors and nurses.
- An organization that works with malnourished, physically abused and orphaned children: Volunteers care for infants and babies, and assist in classes for toddlers and young children.
- A home for severely physically disabled children and teens: Volunteers assist with physical therapy and arts therapy or spend time playing and caring for the children.
- Universities for training Buddhist monks: Volunteers work with students and professors to improve their conversational English.
- An organization promoting reproductive health: Volunteers assist in ongoing reproductive health activities (i.e., HIV/AIDS education, family planning, etc.).
- Daycare center: Volunteers assist with pre-school daycare activities ranging from basic English to health and hygiene promotion.
