"It was a short four weeks of helping others that taught me more about myself than I have learned in years. It was definitely a rewarding experience that is irreplaceable."

Why Volunteer in Guatemala City?

Volunteer in Guatemala

Guatemala City is an ideal place for CCS volunteers because of its diverse population and many cultural learning opportunities. It is the economic, governmental and cultural capital of the nation, as well as a hub for travel to other popular tourist destinations. Guatemala City is a bustling city, with nationals traveling there from all over Guatemala as well as tourists. Many Guatemalans travel daily from cities and towns far away for work as well as resources for low-income people.

Cross-Cultural Solutions first began accepting volunteers in Guatemala in the summer of 2003 in the capital, Guatemala City. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, with Partner Programs focused on health, education, and social services for a variety of age groups.
