Ghana
"There are no words to discuss how incredible the In-Country staff are! Our security guards were great, so sweet and so protective and they really knew the people around us- I felt very safe at the home base. The other house staff were incredible, so helpful and really a great friend. The cooks were great and again so sweet. It was like having a Ghanaian family!"Bethany Brown, Volunteer in Ghana

Cross-Cultural Solutions' Home-Base in Ghana is in the Volta region, the Southeast region of Ghana between the coast and Lake Volta, the largest manmade lake in the world. Besa Amenuvor, CCS's Country Director for Ghana, says:
"Recognition and appreciation of individual reasons for participating in a program is our priority."
Volunteers' meals are provided by staff cooks and include traditional Ghanaian dishes such as fufu (a mash of plantains and cassava) and porridges. Dishes like chicken or vegetables and rice are also provided for volunteers.
