Why Volunteer in San Carlos?
The county of San Carlos is located two hours north of San Jose, in the northern province of Alajuela. This agricultural area is untouched by the influences of tourism. No matter where you are in town, you will never lose sight of the hillsides, you will always be able to take in the fresh clean air of small town life,
and you will always marvel at the beautiful sunsets. The people of San Carlos greatly value family and community, and as a volunteer in San Carlos, you will have the opportunity to see how these values are reflected in the people's daily lives.
