though there are some placements with the elderly as well. Placement opportunities vary throughout the year, so CCS staff work closely with local Partner Programs to ensure that our volunteers are working on projects that meet their needs and objectives.

Volunteer Work Placements in Cartago
Volunteer work is always in partnership with one of CCS' Partner Programs from the local community. Your placement is based on your skills, interests, and the needs of the community. Common placements in Cartago include:
- Special education schools: Volunteers assist teachers with lessons and activities and provide workshops for parents and relatives of the students to inform them about disabilities.
- Center for the elderly: Volunteers can plan recreational activities for the seniors, assist them with daily tasks and give them the attention and the company that they desire.
- Orphanages: Volunteers spend time assisting in educational and recreational activities with the children.
