Why Volunteer in New Delhi?

Built on the Yamuna River, New Delhi is the capital of India and both a thriving modern city and home to much of India's great history. New Delhi womenFor centuries, the area has been a central hub of Indian life, with roads leading to every part of the country. International volunteers come to India to experience another culture and to see some of the world's most beautiful architecture, from the Great Mosque to the Mughal Palace. However, it is the connections with the local people and culture that always leaves the biggest impact.

Cross-Cultural Solutions began operating volunteer programs in New Delhi, India in 1995 with the support of long-time community organizer, Ms. Bela Singh. Her work with mentally challenged children in India had brought her in touch with hundreds of volunteers and Volunteer in Indiadozens of communities; these relationships helped lay the foundation for future international volunteers. Our year-round presence and commitment to supporting the work of local community organizations has fostered strong relationships over the years.
