Volunteer work is always in partnership with one of CCS' Partner Programs from the local community. Your placement is based on your skills, interests, and the needs of the community. Common placements in Dharamsala include:

Primary schools: Volunteers assist teachers with educational and recreational activities for 1st-6th graders.

Community support center: Volunteers work with adult patients seeking treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. The center also runs outpatient therapy and tutoring for differently-abled children in the community.

Special needs school: Volunteers can assist teachers in caring for children with disabilities, helping with physical therapy, and giving much-needed care and individual attention.

Children's daycare center: Volunteers help teach games and the English alphabet to the children.

Community development: Teaching English, computer technology and basic reporting are also available to volunteers with specific skills and experience.
