Volunteering abroad is a rich learning experience for teenagers and a great way for teens to use time off from high school breaks to travel, learn about other cultures, and do community service.

Teens under 18 years old can volunteer abroad with family or travel with a chaperoned high school or community group of six or more (read our age policy). Teens may choose to volunteer in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, or Latin America. Choose from start dates for Volunteer Abroad (2-12 weeks) and start dates for Insight Abroad (one-week) programs, offered throughout the year.

Teen Volunteer Abroad

This summer, teens (15-17 years old) can volunteer abroad independently on our Teen Volunteer Abroad program. CCS in-country staff serve as chaperones for 9-day or 2-week programs offered in Africa (Ghana), Asia (China or India), or Latin America (Costa Rica or Guatemala).
