Volunteer Abroad
Choose Volunteer Abroad for the greatest flexibility— sites in 12 countries, start dates year-round, and a personalized volunteer work placement. Thousands of people enroll in this program each year, and it remains, year after year, our most popular program with students.
International Work Experience
If you're seeking a more in-depth international work experience, or want to earn academic credit or your volunteer experience, choose our Intern Abroad program. Many CCS volunteers have received academic credit for our volunteer programs—either as an internship, field research, or an independent study abroad. Before you enroll, you will work with CCS staff and your academic advisor to create your own curriculum and unique plan for learning.
Intern Abroad focuses on experiential learning—volunteering in a different culture, learning a new language, and participating in guided cultural activities that meet your specific learning objectives. Your adviser will ensure that your program has depth, breadth, and coherence, and that it is consistent with your career and educational goals. Read more about how you can obtain academic credit.
Alternative Spring Break
Only have one week for a meaningful alternative break? Spend your spring or winter break volunteering abroad in our Insight Abroad (one-week) program. If you're interested in organizing an alternative break group? Contact our group specialist to learn about options for volunteering as a group and resources for Group Leader, including materials to promote your group on-campus.
