Cross-Cultural Solutions operates volunteer programs year-round, and you can enroll in a program during our off-peak months (end of August until May) as well as during the popular summer months. CCS strives to serve the community of each program site by providing a sustainable resource to our Partner Programs throughout the year. During the summer months many CCS programs often reach full capacity, but we are able to offer an incentive to enroll off-peak.
Enjoy the Benefits of Volunteering Off-Peak
Due to vacation schedules and school breaks, the volunteers at the Home-Base are more likely to reflect a more diverse demographic. Traveling during the off-peak start dates often means more personal space at the Home-Base, and more one-on-one time with fellow volunteers or CCS staff. The off-peak season can be an opportunity to experience the winter holidays in another country (and in some cases, enjoy the warmer climate), and enjoy a first-hand look into how holidays are celebrated in other parts of the world. In many of our program sites, traveling during your free time can also be easier and cost less during this off-peak travel period.

In addition to your program selection and length of stay, the CCS program fee will also vary by peak to off-peak start dates. You will enjoy the reduced program fee and also help ensure the continuity of volunteers in the community year-round. In some cases, you may even find cheaper flights.
