Benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) allows your company to showcase to the community — including your employees, consumers, and investors — that your brand understands the benefits of socially aware programs with long-term sustainability. CSR helps to build consumer trust and loyalty for your company’s brand.

Partnering with a non-profit organization that allows your company to take part in both corporate group volunteering and individual employee programs is a great way to show commitment to important causes.  Cross-Cultural Solutions allows your company to align with not just one cause, but hundreds of locally-led initiatives in communities around the world.

WAYS TO ENGAGE

There is not just one way to engage in CSR. In fact, there is an endless number of ways. While some companies may choose a more hands-on approach in which their employees are actively volunteering, other companies may choose to simply support an organization that aligns with their social agenda. Some companies may want to create their own programs from the ground-up, and others may want to participate on already-established programs. No matter how a company chooses to carry out its CSR efforts, what matters most is that they are being carried out. Here are just some ways to engage in CSR on an international scale:

  • Establish a corporate volunteering programFind out more about corporate volunteering with CCS and how it can fit your company’s goals.
  • Donate to CCS: Show your support of international volunteering efforts with a monetary, 100 percent tax-deductible donation.
  • Encourage your employees to volunteer whenever and wherever they can: Just promoting the benefits of volunteer service can go a long way. Many companies also offer paid time off specifically for volunteering.
  • Provide incentives for your employees to volunteer abroad by offering matching grants, or setting up a scholarship fund.
  • Raise awareness about global issues and introduce CCS through events such as brown bag lunches, presentations, campaigns and more. Word of mouth is always one of the strongest ways to initiate action.
