Volunteer working with people with disabilities in Guatemala.
As an international volunteer with CCS, you will make a difference by supporting and contributing to sustainable community development. You will work side-by-side with local people, learn what challenges the community faces, and see how your work furthers their goals. You will also have the chance to create valuable connections with the people you work with each day.
Guided by the expertise of CCS in-country staff, you will volunteer at a CCS Partner Program in the communities we serve. Our Partner Programs are always locally-designed and driven initiatives, such as orphanages and childcare centers, schools, health clinics and hospitals, homes for the elderly, centers for people with disabilities, and other community organizations. Our in-country staff forms partnerships with these organizations, working closely to ensure that each CCS volunteer is effectively serving the work of the organization. Volunteers work in the general areas of caregiving, teaching, healthcare, and community development, with volunteer placements that match the skills, interests, and experience of the volunteer to the immediate needs of the community. No prior experience or specific skill is required.
