As a Cross-Cultural Solutions international volunteer, you will be joining the ongoing service — and positive impact — of 25,000 volunteers in communities across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Globally, we work with over 300 local initiatives, providing thousands of motivated volunteers each year to work side-by-side with community members on critical global issues.
These local initiatives, which we call our Partner Programs, rely on CCS to ensure that each volunteer arrives prepared for their volunteer placement, is well-supported throughout their program, and continuously oriented to the unique cultural perspectives of the country and community. The dedicated support we commit to provide our volunteers in-country is part of the strong foundation of our ongoing relationships.
Volunteer placements are always designed to serve the Partner Programs’ goals , but carefully structured to also match the skills, interests, and experience of the volunteers. The placement process is guided by local leaders – the staff of Partner Programs collaborating closely with CCS in-country staff — to ensure a positive experience for all parties, and closely monitored throughout the year.
Volunteers are paired to a Partner Program and assigned one of the placement types below that will directly support the quality of life of local people, and provide an inspiring, informative experience on the issues facing the community.
