Help to empower women with life-skills, resources, and confidence to overcome social barriers and fulfill personal and professional goals.
Contribute to the empowerment of women around the world through education, outreach, cross-cultural exchange, and support. Women all over the world face the pervasive challenges of unequal rights, a lack of awareness of rights, low literacy rates, dependency, limited access to education and opportunities to earn a living, and poverty. Your time, skills, and ideas can help build solidarity and support for women of all ages in their pursuit of healthy and sustainable livelihoods. You can support local women’s groups and other organizations serving women by providing training and sharing skills to help increase economic opportunities and spur economic independence; providing short-term care and support for children to be in a safe and nurturing environment while women can take time to handle errands or business matters; or sharing knowledge and hope for the future through education on the rights of women and girls, personal health and hygiene, and other women’s issues.
Volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds are welcome. Placements addressing this need are available in Ghana, India, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania, and Thailand. As part of our placement process, volunteers will receive their placement according to the needs identified by the community.
