Who is a sponsor?
A sponsor is anyone who makes a contribution towards a volunteer’s program fee who is not the volunteer, nor the volunteer’s parent or guardian.
How does my contribution help each volunteer?
Each volunteer has a program fee that must be paid in order to participate in a CCS program. This program fee is not sent directly to the program of the volunteer’s choice but rather is representative of what each program costs CCS to send the volunteer in-country.
How do I make a sponsor contribution?
- You may sponsor a volunteer online though our secure online payment form using MasterCard, Visa, American Express (USD only) or Discover (USD only). Note: sponsors must have the volunteer’s e-mail address, Customer ID, or Username to pay via the website.
- You may sponsor a volunteer via mail by personal, certified, cashier, or traveler’s checks and money order in the currency which the volunteer has chosen upon enrollment. CCS does not accept cash. Please be sure to include the volunteer’s name or customer ID in the memo section of the check.
- Please send checks to one of the following addresses:

GBP Payments |
Cross-Cultural Solutions Attn: Finance 2 Clinton Place New Rochelle, NY 10801 USA |

If you wish to wire funds, please contact the Finance Department.
Will the contribution be documented?
All online payments will have tax documents/payment receipts automatically sent to the e-mail address provided during the payment process. Tax documents are only provided for USD payments as CCS is a registered 501(c)3 in the United States only. Tax documents for USD payments will only be mailed to you if your payment was made via check and was over the amount of US$200.00.
If you have misplaced your tax document or you would like to request one for a payment made via check for under US$200.00, please contact the Finance Department.
Is my contribution tax deductible?
CCS is a registered 501(c)3 in the United States only. Therefore, USD payments are tax deductible when made by a sponsor who files taxes in the US.
What happens to my funds if the volunteer is unable to go on a program?
No sponsor payment is ever refundable to either the volunteer or the sponsor. It is a tax-deductible contribution to CCS. If the volunteer is unable to participate, CCS will hold all sponsor funds on their account for one year from the original program start date for the volunteer to use towards a future program. If the funds are not used within that year, the funds will be applied towards the CCS Scholarship Fund.
What happens if the volunteer has already paid their program fee but I still want to make a contribution?
If the volunteer has already paid their program fee as per our due date structure, you can still contribute towards their program. The excess funds may allow the volunteer to extend their current program or to use these funds towards a future program. If the volunteer chooses to do so, the funds that the volunteer has paid can be refunded to them for their personal expenses, and your contribution will work towards paying for their program fee. Please note that the volunteer is not eligible for a refund of any amount that is directly related to a sponsor contribution that is applied to their account after their start date. This will remain on their account for one year to use towards a future program.
Please contact our Finance Department if you have any further questions.
