Cross-Cultural Solutions Accepts Canadian Dollar
July 27, 2009
Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS) now accepts Canadian Dollars (CAD).
CCS volunteers and sponsors can now make payments in CAD via personal check, traveler’s check, bank draft, wire transfer, money order, or credit card with Visa or MasterCard. The program fee and discounts in CAD are now published on the CCS website.
"Volunteering abroad gives us an opportunity to learn about global issues first-hand, and today’s troubled world economy shows just how important it is to be connected at a global level,” said Kam Santos, Director of Communications at CCS. "We know that Canadians are very interested in international service, so we’re just trying to make it easier for more people to serve — accepting the Canadian Dollar is one way to do that." Canadians can reserve their space in a CCS program of their choice with a deposit of CAN$345 which is applied to the program fee.
Other currencies that CCS currently accepts include United States Dollars (which are 100% tax-deductible for U.S. residents) and Great British Pounds. In addition to accepting different currencies, CCS recently unveiled new fundraising resources — including interesting tips, innovative tools, and extra support — to help more people volunteer abroad.
