While volunteering in South Africa with CCS, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience the culture of one of the most diverse nations in the world from the inside out. After nearly 50 years of apartheid, today's South Africans embrace people of European, Asian, African, and indigenous descent. You will learn about the legacy of apartheid and how it continues to shape the current social landscape and culture. You'll see the changes, celebrations, and challenges that have since emerged in South Africa and learn about the socio-economic impacts of poverty, unemployment, and HIV/AIDS.
