For Enrolled Volunteers

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted at the Partner Programs. This policy is in place due to the cultural implications and stereotypes that smoking has in various countries, as well as the health of the people in the Partner Programs.

Volunteers are acting as role models in the community, and can unwittingly set a bad example by smoking in front of others at the Partner Program.

Additionally, all indoor common areas of the Home-Base are smoke-free. In several program sites, designated smoking areas may be available in open courtyards.
