Cross-Cultural Solutions recognizes that you may need to switch your program site or program start date. When the switch occurs within 60 days of the start date, CCS incurs administrative and in-country expenses and is often unable to enroll another person to fill the available space. To offset these expenses, a non-refundable switch fee would apply to your account based on when the switch is requested.
- 60-31 days before the start date: US$66 (£UK36, CAN$81)
- 30-1 days before the start date: US$210 (£UK114, CAN$258)
The switch fee also applies if you cancel your program within 60 days and then re-enroll.
Please note that groups are subject to the US$66 switch fee for any switches or cancellations and re-enrollments prior to 31 days before their start date.
The switch fee is processed at the time you switch to a new site or start date, or at the time of re-enrollment. If the balance of your program fee is not paid in full, funds are applied to the switch fee before they are applied to the program fee.
Each year, on August 31, the program fee, discounts, and other policies are recalibrated for the coming year. Enrolled volunteers who wish to make changes to their program will have a two-month grace period where only the switch fee will apply. Enrolled volunteers who request to switch their program beyond the two-month grace period may be subject to updated program fees in addition to the switch fee.
