Local Insight
All our in-country staff members—from Country Directors to cooks to drivers—are from the communities where we work, living and working there year-round. This gives them insight into the people and culture that only a local person could have.
Supporting our Volunteers
Coordinating work for international volunteers who may not be fluent in the local language or familiar with local customs takes a lot of effort. Many organizations refuse to work with international volunteers because they simply don't have the resources to support them.
The local organizations we work with trust that we’ll be there helping the volunteers to be effective at their placements. Our staff ensures that our volunteers are supporting the community's goals, and creating a positive, productive environment for the organization and people they serve.
Expert Support to our Partners in the Community
CCS staff works closely with the local projects to carefully match each volunteer's skills with the needs of the local organizations. Setting up volunteer placements, managing expectations on both sides, and supporting both their staff and our international volunteers takes energy and expertise.
The expert support that CCS staff provides, and the dedication we have toward our work can best be explained by CCS volunteers. Contact us today to speak with one of our alumni.
