From your first contact with us, we believe that you should speak with people who have volunteered abroad with Cross-Cultural Solutions. That’s why, at any time, you can speak with a friendly and knowledgeable Program Enrollment Manager who can give you a thorough picture of the CCS experience and the countries where we operate. They can answer all of your questions and even connect you with recent volunteers of the country or program in which you are interested. All of our Program Enrollment Managers are former volunteers with CCS and were once looking for an international volunteer experience, just like you.
When you enroll, one of our U.S.-based Program Managers is assigned to be your main point-of-contact. Also former CCS volunteers, they can answer your specific questions about the community and the programs because they've been there. They can provide in-depth information about the local culture and day-to-day life within the community, and give you a sense of what you might expect as an international volunteer. Plus, while you’re in-country, your Program Manager becomes the key contact for your friends and family in case of emergencies.
Our Program Managers and in-country staff are in constant contact with each other and have compiled a Participant Handbook that covers the most common questions from volunteers—from local customs to information on the history, climate, and social aspects of the area.
