Cause and Effect
Give a Truly Moving Holiday Gift This Year: Yourself!

Cross-Cultural Solutions, a worldwide volunteer organization, has been placing health workers in Ghana, teachers in Peru and child-care givers in India since 1995. But now it needs people to help out here at home.

Cross-Cultural Solutions is currently recruiting some 100 volunteers a day to sort donations, take care of clerical tasks at Red Cross headquarters, wash the soot-encrusted boots of recovery workers at the end of their shifts, and serve food at Ground Zero or the Bowling Green respite center. Need for helpers is growing as the holidays approach, so visit Cross-Cultural Solutions' web site to register.

Volunteer in Peru

“It was the most amazing
experience of my entire life.
Because of that trip I came to
realize how big the world is -
how enriching it is to live
among different cultures. ”
