ServiceNation is a national grassroots campaign supported by individuals, corporations, and organizations striving to inspire civic service, promote volunteering, and engage a new generation of volunteers in America. The coalition behind ServiceNation includes almost 200 organizations that collectively reach over 100 million Americans. The movement quickly infiltrated worldwide media and mainstream culture, while also affecting the political landscape of the country.

A nonpartisan campaign drawing bipartisan attention to volunteer work, ServiceNation is in a position to effectively create a new era of volunteer service. As a member of ServiceNation’s Organizing Committee, and the sole international volunteering organization, CCS shares its expertise and vision to help drive the international volunteering platform of the ServiceNation movement. CCS and ServiceNation also collaborate to promote volunteering and civic engagement in general throughout the United States of America.

ServiceNation has been inspiring people to “Be the Change” since 2008. The movement aims to make service a part of the nation’s culture by increasing the community of American volunteers, and bringing civic engagement back to the forefront of American ideals. The initial event of the ServiceNation Campaign was the national Day of Service in September 2008, when over 2,700 events took place in every state across the country. Since then, ServiceNation has created the Declaration of Service for people to sign and commit to serve, and partnered with Facebook and MTV, among others.
